Prakash was Principal in Charge (while with Perkins+Will) of the Downtown Usnlo Park Specific Plan. Usnlo Park, a community of 31,000 south of San Francisco, needed to prepare a long-range Specific Plan for the city’s downtown and El Camino Real corridor. The plan sets the vision for new mixed-use infill development, public spaces, and circulation improvements that enhance downtown vibrancy and connections, intensifying development around the Caltrain commuter rail station.

The planning process includes three community workshops and multiple meetings with the Planning Commission and City Council to develop a preferred plan for the area. The City Council in 2012 passed the plan with intensified development and was the first successful plan adoption.
