SAN FERNANDO VALLEY STRATEGIC PLAN & VISION 2030

San Fernando, California
San Fernando Valley Jobs Housing

This project, focusing on the communities of Pacoima and Panorama City, will result in a strategic plan and vision for the area based on an understanding of previous economic development efforts, current and future real estate trends, changing community demographics, complex environmental challenges, potential and emerging new markets, and the meaningful concerns of an informed, multi-ethnic public.

Prakash Pinto, as Principal in Charge of the project (while with Perkins+Will), developed a strategic planning process that included the analysis and development of 10 catalytic projects and programs focusing on viable strategies for revitalizing heavy industrial and commercial corridors, economic development and job creation, environmental justice, and public infrastructure and transportation improvements. The planning effort includes an extensive public outreach and engagement process for traditionally underserved communities.
